Welcome to DNA Makeup blogspot, mainly about makeup stuff.... fashion.... and things....
I've found my true passion....makeup....
How did it all begin I hear you ask? Well back in Oz I didn't wear that much makeup because it's hotter there, people are more laid back and simply put I couldn't be bothered. Ever since moving to London I noticed that people take more pride in what they looked like and what they wore, always up with the latest fashion trends from the high st to the cat walks.
Slowly my personal makeup collection starting growing and growing...
Last year (2010) I thought I'd enrol myself in a makeup school. I did my beginners course at Rouge Makeup School and advanced course at the Academy of Freelance Makeup (AOFM). Absolutely loved the courses and the teachers were fantastic and so knowledgeable.
It's a little nerve wracking (well more than that) putting makeup on someone else other than yourself for the first time. But at the end I felt satisfied and proud of the results and if you stuff up you can always wipe it off, that's the beauty about makeup. Makeup is not permanent, you can experiment with different looks and it's a way to express yourself. I think Illamasqua says it best "Makeup for your alter ego".
I hope to blog more in the near future....watch this space.....
